AutoiPacket, LLC Vice President and Co-Founder Seve Astorg has been named to West Virginia State Journals Generation Next: 40 Under 40 for 2017.

29 year old Seve Astorg is the third generation of his family in the automotive business, following his grandfather, Joe Astorg, and father, Paul Astorg. But his career took a different turn a few years ago.

At the time, Astorg was working at his father’s dealership, Astorg Auto of Parkersburg, running the finance office.

What the dealership’s clients needed, Astorg thought, was better access to information that highlighted the dealerships integrity and product. The dealership invests money and time to create paper folders that have information, such as the vehicle history, pre-sale reconditioning work done by the dealer, and original window stickers. Why not create a digital form for anyone to access, he thought.

“We built AutoiPacket for my father's dealership without any intention of selling it,” Astorg said.

One of Astorg’s managers shared the idea at a national dealer meeting and found that other dealers also had interest. So Astorg and his business partner, Ken Wilkinson, decided to sell it. They formed AutoiPacket in 2012 and marketed it in March 2013.

“AutoiPacket allows dealerships to prove the integrity of their store and helps ensure their clients that they’re putting out a good product,” Astorg said.

Astorg said more than 350 dealerships across the United States use AutoiPacket, and that number is approaching 400.

Astorg has left his father’s dealership and focuses on AutoiPacket full-time. The company has 14 employees now with more to come May 1 when it moves into a new headquarters and continues to work on new products.

“We’re going to be opening up our new headquarters in Morgantown, WV,” he said.

“We looked at Raleigh and Dallas and northern California, but we decided to stick it out at home, we are excited about what Morgantown has to offer.”

He said the company expects to hire five to 10 more code writers when it opens its Morgantown office.

Astorg lives in Vienna, WV with his fiancé, Chana Traugh, and three children: Rylee, 11, Christian, 2, and Sevana, 8 months.
